Mr John Davin
MMACP MSc MCSP
Mr John Davin is an experienced physiotherapist specialising in the treatment of sports injuries and rehabilitation.
He graduated from the Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 1997 and also has an MSc in Manual therapy from The University of Manchester. He gained membership of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) in 2002.
Mr Davin started his career at the Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust while also working for Manchester United Football Club’s Academy. Soon he began working for the Club full time and, in 2008, he became the First Team Rehabilitation Physiotherapist. He continues to take responsibility for the long-term injured players, travelling around the world supporting surgical interventions with appropriate rehabilitation while also supporting Manchester United’s pre-season tour.
His teaching commitments include an Honorary Lectureship at Manchester Metropolitan University teaching the Undergraduate Physiotherapy Programme and, more recently, on the Inaugural Sports Medicine Masters course. He has also taught the Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) course for the English Football Association for the last two years.
As well as his work with South Manchester Diagnostics Mr Davin runs his own private practice, Physioworx, in Sale.
